About the artist: Meredith Dillman is an artist deeply inspired by fantasy and fairy tales. Like many artists Meredith has been drawing ever since childhood and loved drawing fairies, mythical creatures and woodland animals. Meredith's inspirations grew to include everything from art history to the petals and leaves of plants on forest floor.

During Meredith's art schooling she explored the school library where she dove into books on the Pre-Raphaelites, Art Nouveau, and turn of the century illustrations. Meredith had the chance to study in Japan and spent their spare time drawing manga inspired comics.

Meredith creates their color artworks with watercolors, inks and acrylics. Meredith makes each painting in stages, starting with pencil and ink drawings followed by many transparent layers of watercolor.
