About the creator/s: Arthur Edward Waite (1857-1942) was a respected mystic whose writings focused on the occult. He was co-creator of the world's most popular tarot deck - the Rider Waite Smith.
Pamela Colman Smith (1878-1951) was a British artist, illustrator, writer and occultist, best-known for illustrating the Rider-Waite-Smith tarot deck. She received little recognition for her contributions to the deck and her name was left off most editions. Today her talent is becoming more recognized and efforts are being made to restore her name to the project.
